SlopeTracker - Ski tracking, slope navigation, speech synthesis and sharing of raw GPS location data app for iPhone and iPad

SlopeTracker is an App that is designed to track your skiing and snowboarding runs and help you navigate the slopes by providing map overlays with piste maps and lift maps.

SlopeTracker provides speech synthesis which reports new top speed, new max angle or new top altitude via the audio system.

Furthermore, SlopeTracker will export KML files for use in application like Google Earth and comma separated files (csv) for further analysis of the raw data that the phone records.

To start tracking your ski run, just open the app press the "play" button and you ready to go. Once finished running stop the tracking and inspect the data either on the map, or the graph function showing speed and altitude across the day.

Save as many tracks as you like!

The app provides easy access to OpenPisteMap overlays which provide information about slopes in most skiing resort worldwide.

Furthermore, you can drop measurements points to measure the distance between the iPhone and the user. The measurement points can also be dropped and connected to plan a route and calculate the total distance.

When tracks are shown on map it will be color coded to reflect the angle of the slope.

Additionally the app brings a lot of nice convenience function:
Proximity sensor - shuts screen off when in pocket!
Prevent Screen Autolock
Turn App Off At Low Battery - prevents the app from using all power on the device if turned on.
Measurement in miles/h, kilometres/h or knots.

No phone signal or data needed to track your runs.
This app is designed to work only by using the build in GPS receiver of the iPhone.

Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Using Voice on Events and show track on map while tracking will increase the power consumption. See our support page for further help and information.
